Point of sale for restaurants and cafés. Orders are taken on the device and sent when there is a line to send them down, so a dropped connection is an inconvenience rather than a closed shop.
Bills, payments and the drawer carry on with no network. Everything queues on the device and syncs itself when the line comes back.
Firing an order writes a ticket to the rail and prints it at the right station, from the same act. A second round is its own ticket, not an edit.
Take payment in a second currency at a rate the shop sets, recorded as it was quoted so the shift still reconciles.
The same menu the till sells from, on a page behind a QR code on the table. One source, so the wall and the till cannot disagree.
Staff, prices and reports are per branch, with roles deciding who may discount, void or see the takings.
Shifts open on a declared float and close on a count, with the difference shown rather than quietly absorbed.
